Mia from Year 6, Owston Park Primary School:

This book is a good book but I think that it should be for boys
unless you are a girl who likes gas's and other things like
that and if you like it discribing about blood and how it was
poring out of someone. If you like all of this then this is the
perfect book for you.

This is not one of the best books that I have read so I give it
4 out of 10

Casey from Year 8, Ridgewood School:

Itch Rocks - Simon Mayo's second Itch novel - is an explosive,
highly enjoyable jaunt. Dealing with the priceless Element 126,
a new, highly powerful element discovered by the series'
protagonist( Itch) Itch Rocks sees all manner of sinister
figures attempt to obtain 126, and sees Itch go up against
former science teacher Dr Flowerdew and the diabolical
Greencorps organisation once more. An enjoyable read packed
with explosive fun, Itch Rocks definitely earns a solid 9.

Simas from Year 8, Ridgewood School:

This is a fun-to-read book that really hooks you and makes sure
you never put it down. Itch Rocks can be read without reading
Itch first, but you may not understand some of the things that

Itch Rocks definitely rocks!
Although, you may need to read the first book to understand
this one more. This book is packed with explosive action and is
a great read.

Chris from Year 8, Rossington All Saints School:

If you like science, discovery and suspense then deciding
whether to read this book is time wasted really.
Itch rocks has mixed a fullfilling balance of the sciences,
adventure, mystery and suspensealong with a gripping stoyboard
and well-crafted layout.
This book would generally appeal to anyone aged 10-18

Itch rocks is an explosive action, adventurous of exciting
events. Every criminal in Cornwall wants it but only one boy
knows where the dangerous element 126 is. Can he keep it out of
the hands of the dangerous Nathaniel Flowerdew and get rid of
the 126 before anything bad happens.

I can not begin to describe this book as if I say anything i
will ruin it for anyone who wants to read it.But you definately
need to read itch first to get the story of this book. The only
way to describe it is

andrew from Year 8, Danum Academy:

the book is so good not to mention that he is a huge science
fan . The thing that expresed him most is that he is an
element hunter . Eventhough that he is allways in life
threating danger it was ?? that rescued him from the well then
it settles him knowng it was the least person who would rescue

I thought itch rocks was an amazing book it was full of
adventure and mystery and every page that you turned was a new
adventure. It was a fantastic sequel to itch and it had a
massive turn on it and I loved it.

saffron from Year 9:

itch rocks is far better than the first book(the first book was
reallly good). i would recomend this book to people who enjoy
fighting, MI5 agents, things that blow up evey second, those
who have read the first book(links on really well with the
first book, dramatic start, etc) and those who are cool.
the book looks very long and boring because it has lots
and lots and lots and lots and lots of pages. for the people
who dont like big books read this book because it will change
your mind forever and for those who like big it
i don't want to spoil it but all i will say is that
itch meets this girl called mary lee who has some cool elements
like caesium, but she isn't just a normal sixth form girl, for
a more dramatic effect on finding out who this girl really is
read the first book.

Brooke from Year 8, De Warenne Academy:

I think Mayo knew how good this book is by naming it Itch
Rocks. The previous book was amazing and somehow this book is
even better. And it started off great when Itch posioned
everone in the greenhouse. i did not see Lucy's dad being the
person who gave Itch the rocks in the first place. I also love
how in the first book Lucy was a minor charcheter but in this
one she is now a major one. I would recomend this book to
pepole who like sceince in their stories.

Itch rocks is an adventurous science book about a boy who
collects the periodic table. Eventhough I don't enjoy science
that much, I still loved the book! A great read!
