I absolutely love this book! It is so funny and has never failed to make me laugh. that is not the only reason why I love it, this book is also very easy to read and it is also easy to make a picture of the scene in your head. It is all about a boy whose life is normal but the author made a normal boys life seem very funny. I recommend reading this book as it will always make you feel happy even on the dullest of days. I rated this book 9/10 as it is hard to understand in some parts. My favourite character from the book is Greg. who would you chose?

Elyse from Year 6, Saltersgate Junior School:

This a really enjoyable book. At first , since I was new to it, I found it hard to get into it , but within a week I was half way through this adventurous book and I couldn’t put it down! A few days later I was done, if you are into funny books I would 10/10 recommend.

I am not the sort of person to like a book like this but I guess it’s alright. My favourite character is the main character, Greg. I also love his best friend though and think that they are such good characters. I’m not a big fan of the story line and wouldn’t read this book again. Overall I think it was not the best book I’ve ever read but I guess its okay. I would recommend this for people who like stories based on diaries.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid has always made me laugh. Diary of a Wimpy Kid is about a boy named Greg(Gregory)and it's basically about his life like normal diaries. He has a friend named Rowley and he gets into some trouble. And there's this thing at his school called the ''The Cheese Touch'' and it's basically a dirty bit of cheese on the floor and if anyone touches it they have the cheese touch. If you liked this review I suggest you read this book.9/10

Imogen from Year 3, Barnby Dun Primary Academy:

I really like the characters and I like the fact he says it's not a diary. It may say diary on the front but it definitely isn't a diary. Like me when you read one from the series, you will probably want to read more of them and maybe even them all! The book had a way of making me feel like I was there. Gregory was my favourite character because he is the main character. I recommend others read this book. Boys and girls will love it too.

I love this book because it is full of fun and adventure. The characters are strange and this makes the book very entertaining. I would definitely recommend this book. I go to Travis CE Primary in Hatfield.

If you like funny books then this is the one for you! This is the first of many books which make up the Diary of a wimpy kid series and Jeff Kinney gets you drawn into the life of a 9 year old boy, named Greg Heffley in this first one. You get to know his family, including his two crazy brothers as well as his school friends. My favourite character is Greg because you can imagine being in similar situations to him, although his toddler brother Manny is really amusing. One funny part of the book is when he is found “pooing” under a chair Gross but funny! This book is most suitable for kids aged 9-12, and especially think boys would like it because of the silly humour! I also recommend reading his other books too because some of them are even funnier!

Summer from Year 7, The Armthorpe Academy:

I really like these series of books as they are written like a diary so no long chapters so it keeps you interested. I also like the drawings these add to the story. My favourite character is Greg because he is always getting into trouble and it is always not his fault. His brother Roderick is annoying but funny and i like how they are typical brothers who are always fighting
