Head kid is a great book that has important life lessons. I can close my eyes and picture what happens next and that is not what every book does so that is the reason that I like the book so much but you can have a debate about how you think the book is. My favourite character is Ryan because during the body switch I think he matures and learn that not all things are suitable when your in charge of a school.

I enjoyed it . It is funny sad and enjoyable at the same time .The funny part is where the new head master Mr Carter swaps bodies with the naughtiest boy in the school Ryan Ward.The sad part is where the head master [ryan ward ] goes to see mr carters mum in a hospice and finds out hospice means end of life care. My score is 9/10.

I liked the book because it was fun and interesting. It was also very adventurous. My favourite character was Ryan Ward because he was fun because he always got into trouble. my favourite part was when he got bored and just walked out the class room.

I enjoyed reading this book. I liked Ryan the best as he was very naughty, enthusiastic and good fun. The school that they attend would be my dream school even though the head teacher is very strict, when Ryan is in charge everything changes!

Barnby Dun Year 5 / 6 from Year 5, Barnby Dun Primary Academy:

At Barnby Dun Primary, we have taken part in an afterschool book club, where we have read this 'outstanding', fun-filled book, that has also given a strong message about being responsible and growing up. Our favourite parts of the book were the British tortoise chapter, when Ryan had put underwear on the tortoises, and the prank that was carried out - with the cake mix - at the debate. There was also a quite touching part when Ryan (in Mr. Carter's body) went to see Mr. Carter's mum (Grace) in the hospice - this upset him and really showed his emotions and that he was not just a silly prankster. Overall, this was a really fun book to read, especially with the body swap!

Jay from Year 6:

The book is about the naughtiest child in school and the strictest head teacher. After a fall, they swapped bodies. The thing I liked most about the book, is all the pranks Ryan played but he also looked out for his best friend. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to other children.
