Cissy from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
This book was really good because it had a lot of interesting facts and some weird ones too I really enjoyed it .My favourite King was Albert the Unready because he peed in the holy water. I would recommend this book to someone who wants to find about the old Kings and Queens. It was full of amazing illustrations by Martin Brown. It made me feel addicted to it . Are you going to read it?
Chloe from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
Horrible histories is a factual book filled with crazy kings, vicious queens and catchy poems. I found this book very intriguing and interesting , I just couldnâ?™t put it down! My favourite monarch has to be Ethelred the unready a hilarious knight with an unready personality! I loved reading about all the kings and queens and their puzzling lives and their whacky personalities. I would recommend this book to people who likes learning about history, ( the non boring one including teachers) and famous family trees.
Grace from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
It is a good book quite funny especially the part when Ethelred peed in the holy water when he was being christened. This book is about some of the cruellest kings and quaintest queens in the history of the world. I think that people that want to be a historian or like history would love this book because it gives you a lot of information about the past and the kings and queens that ruled a lot of countries. In the book there is a rotten rhyme to help you remember all the kings and queens: Willie, willie,Henry,Steve,Henry three; one two three Neds Richard two Harrys four five six ... then who? So that is a bit of the song there is a lot more if you read it. My favourite monarch is Anne because when she died her body was so fat the coffin was almost square I found that funny! The potty poems were extremely funny and catchy.
GRACE from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
Funny book very interesting. I think the funniest part of the book is when Ethelred peed in the holy water when he was getting christened. I found the book quite boring because I donâ?™t like history that much but if you like history i think you will love this book because you can learn a lot about the past. This book is about some of the cruellest kings and quaintest queens. My favourite monarch is Anne because when she died her body had swollen so large and fat that she was buried in a coffin that was almost square and i found that quite funny.
courtney from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

Jorja from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
I give it a 10 because one it was funny and two there was interesting facts but they didn't make them boring they made them exciting and fun by showing us a picture and making things funny but so of them are weird but strange things I would recommend this because I could read this again it was about people and how they died so I learnt a lot from this and I think you would so that's why I think you should read this.
eleanor from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
I gave this book a 10 because I liked: all the information in it, it made history fun, it didn't say anything untrue &it had `TOP TEN KINGS & QUEENS`.My favourite part was the `POTTY POEMS`. Even though the pictures were fun the information was even better. This helped me learn much, much more about Kings and Queens. I would rate this book to readers that want to learn about Kings and Queens for extra work for school or just to help at home. It's a great book!
