Bobbi from Year 7, Morley Place Academy:
Do you know when a teacher says that you should never be able to put down a book well this is what this one did to me. I know some people don't like books well this one will definitely get you into reading. I thank the author of this book for all the happiness you give the readers of the book. Some people don't know what makes a good book like the cliff hangers and description of it but what a really good book does is lifts you of your feet and sucks you in. The most exciting thing about a book is that you can travel to a million places at once.
Klaudia from Year 8, Hall Cross Academy:
The Wizards of Once is a spectacular book about a forbidden friendship between a wizard and a warrior. Similar to Cressida Cowell's previous book 'How to train your dragon' it revolves about two people or creature that may have been known to be enemy's and complete opposites but that's what brought them together. I recommend this book to anyone that enjoy's magic and loved her previous books. I specially like the authors uniqueness in writting. Only con about this novel is that the sketches though are well drawn and give a sense of an older era it does gives you a spoiler due to how eye-catching the sketches are.
Rhyan from Year 6, Morley Place Academy:
I really enjoyed the book because it reminds us of Harry Potter. I in fact recommended this book to on of my classmates today. I hope I can wait to see more of Cressidaâ?™s book very soon.
Toby from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:
Wizards of Once This book is filled with twists and turns and youâ?™ll never know whatâ?™s going to happen next. It has lots of cliff hangers, therefore it entices you to read further. I think this book would be best for 7 -13-year olds and people who like magic related things. My favourite part is when Wish (one of the main characters) finds out that she has the magic that works on iron, because it explains a lot of strange things that have happened earlier in the book. It isnâ?™t the best book ever because at the beginning it spends too long telling you about the characters. So, I give it a score of 7 out of 10. Do you think youâ?™ll be reading it soon?
