The main characters are Luke and Zach. Luke is jealous that his brother has became a superhero, somehow he is going through something called puberty. The book is illustrated by David Solomons he is a peron that wrote the story MY HERO IS A SUPERHERO it is a fiction book because it didn't happen in real life

Wow! What a worlwind of imagination! My brother is a Superhero lets your body ache with laughter as this book is a comedic, silly but extremly cool read! My Brother Is a Superhero is about a boy named Luke and his brother Zach! Just when Luke needs a wee, suddenly out of the blue an alien tranforms Zach into- a SUPERHERO!!!! How cool is that? However, trouble brews and Zach needs to save the world...and fast! Will Zach keep the world at bay with the helping hand of his brother Luke or will they both end up flat as a pancake? I loved this book because it has every childs dream of becoming a superhero included in to one magical book! As well as that, new suprises jump out in every chapter so you never want to put the book down! Lastly, I like this book a lot because I believe it will stick in my mind for a long time as the concept was so creative and fun to read! I would recommend this book for primary school students as it really fizzes up your brain with new ideas and questions especially in the younger age range! I would definitely rate this book a 10 as it was brain bursting fun and a easy read to enjoy! You never know, an alien might visit YOU to make you in to a superhero in the future!!

Luke's older brother Zack has just got his super powers and Luke asked can you shout lazes out of your finger tips Luke said if he could have had any powers but the answer was no because he needed a wee

Khadijah from Year 5, Stirling Primary School:

I am giving this book a 10 out of 10 because it is very creative and I like the way that there is a really cool brother who is into comics and superheroes and a mature nerdy brother that is a goodie 2 shoots when they got older they didn't get along but once Zac turned into a superhero Luke had to guide him on how to use his powers and his strength without being obvious so they eventually did and I love the part how he did not get to be a superhero because he needed a wee it is a very funny book it is abit unusual but that is what makes it unique I really recommend this book to anyone

This book is quite long I got bored of it as it got nearer the end. It is about a boy called Luke and his brother called Zack, Zack (super hero name star lad) gets granted super powers such as a radar in his head, a force field etc. and he must save two worlds at once from Nemesis. The pressure is on for Zack! Would you like to be Zack?

Wilson from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

This book was probably the best book I have ever read on the book awards lists. It was amazing in every way you look at it. I think the best things about it was the mystery and the adventure. In my opinion the mystery was the best thing about it. Also the tense it created was unreal. Just so you know I think this book would be suitable for 6 to 13 year olds. Overall this book was spectacular and that is why I rated this book a 10.

Tasha from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

This book is amazing! I was intrigued after the first few pages. It was really cool because it was about superheroes but still not 'just for boys'. It was so original but yet felt like I've read it a million times. It was really funny, original, weird (in a good way), and fun! I really enjoyed it and I definitely reccomend

What I liked about it!: I really liked the fact that it really drew you in just by looking at the front cover and it saying and I quote 'I could've been one too except I needed a wee.' The way it was written like you could've been there. my favourite character is Luke because even though his brother has been given superpowers he is very cool about it. The title is My Brother is a Superhero by David Solomons. WOW! This book really kept you on the edge of your seat. This washing machine of thought but all blended together perfectly. This book was unputdownable. The action, the humour and the silly names did it for me. I will never forget this book. Never ever ever. My favourite part was when Luke needed a wee and when Zack rescued Cara's phone. There was nothing in my wildest dreams to dislike about this book. Storyline 9/10. Recommendation for ages 8+

Keira from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

When I started reading this book, I couldn't put it down. It is funny yet so serious. Would the world depend on Starlad? This book has many unexpected turns and is like a rollercoaster going from one thing to the next to find the identity of Starlad. Even though this book is on the Primary list, i still think it is suitable for almost any age. I loved it! I would rate it 10/10!

Charley from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

I am a passionate reader with a favouritism of secondary books. Therefore I thought that this book was going to be extremely childish. However, what I read blew me away! This book is exceptionally written and it captures the imagery of the storyline immaculately. With Zach becoming a superhero (much to his little brothers dismay) this story kept me continuously thinking "will he be exposed?", "what trouble is to follow?" but most importantly, "Who is Nemesis?". This exceptional book kept me turning pages and wanting more. The only thing I am upset about is that there are no sequels to this astonishing Tale. I would definitely recommend this!!!

Nell from Year 8, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This was a good book and it has been written very well. There was a lot of description which made the story come to life more in your head and the characters were memorable. It also made you want to read on after every chapter and there was a lot of surprises in the book. I have only given this book 7/10 because I think it was for a younger audience plus I am not too keen on the superhero plot. I would recommend this book to someone between the age of 8 to 11 and who likes funny, fantasy, adventure stories.

Marks out of 10: 7

Keaton from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

This book is a very exciting book because when Luke's brother Zack gets kidnapped by someone. My favourite character is Luke because at the end he finds out that both his brother and Lara have superpowers.

Marks out of 10: 10

Tobias from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

This book is amazing! my favourite character is Zack because he is the guy that you would think that got superpowers like he's the person who likes MATHS HOMEWORK and doesn't know much about super heros. He's funny ; tall but has a liking for Cara. He daren't tell her......... Would you even dare tell her?

Marks out of 10: 9

Marks out of 10: 9

Ruby from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

If you like comics and mystery's then this is the book for you. It isn't actually a comic but it has superhero's and comic lovers like Serge and Luke. I gave this book a eight because at first it was quite boring and I kept putting it down but towards the end it started getting tense and I had to see what happened. My favourite character was Lara , altogether it was a good book.

Marks out of 10: 8

Kieran from Year 6, Thorne Brooke Primary School:

I found this book hard to put down. It's about two brothers, Zack and Luke. When Luke goes for a wee Zack gets six superpowers but they have to figure out what they are. He has to save two universes from a villain called 'Nemesis'.
